It has been a month since the unthinkable became reality. We want to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to those who continue to help weave an amazing web of love and support: family, friends, church, employers and colleagues, first responders, investigators and even strangers.

We have certainly experienced sorrow and sadness in this tragedy. Mixed in at the same time — almost as a braided rope — are strands of joy and pride for the kind of people these young people were and were becoming. To all those who have shared stories and anecdotes: your words and our memories have helped compose a joyous portrait of our son Mark, his soul mate Emily and their friend Georgia. Thank you.

They were changing their world. It’s up to us to change ours.
