"Prices cut for senior, student bus passes," Dec. 5.
Are we going to be the only city in the civilized world that does not discount seniors' bus fares?
We have already lost our ability to go to medical appointments with one fare when the transfer system was revised last year. Now this.
Reducing the price for a monthly pass for seniors will not help most of us since we are retired and no longer need a daily pass. It won't help reduce the carbon imprint in our city either, since it will be cheaper for me and my husband to drive downtown and even pay for parking when the new fare schedule is in place.
