Re: “MSP premiums should be axed,” editorial, Feb. 1.

We immigrated to Canada when I was eight years old. My parents spent years paying back the fees they borrowed to come to our wonderful country. I remember them cashing in their silver-dollar collection to pay for medicine I needed as a child.

Our publicly funded health-care system is not perfect, but worth protecting. Health care has to remain a tax-funded priority.
