Re: “Reduce or eliminate MSP premiums,” Jan 18.
The writer laments having to pay $120 a month for medical coverage. I’m a married father of three, self employed. Between MSP premiums, extended health-care premiums, dentist bills, orthodontist bills, optometrist bills, out-of-pocket fees and prescriptions, I shell out $8,000 to $12,000 every year for my family’s health-care needs. Any pity out there for me?
The notion that health care is truly free in this country is a complete myth. It’s free (or darn close) for government employees, the poor, seniors and aboriginals. For the rest of us, it’s a significant ongoing expense, and growing every year.
