Re: “Top B.C. entrepreneur McDonald dies at 90,” Jan. 8.

I never met Wendy McDonald, former CEO of B.C. Bearing Engineers Ltd., but I’m well aware of the company and its wheel bearings. The notice of her death brings to mind another former CEO, Lucille Johnstone, a.k.a. Tugboat Annie, of the Rivtow Group, who died in 2005.

Both are women to admire for their achievements in B.C. industry. An important part of B.C. history.
