Properly informed, Esquimalt residents would widely support the current Seaterra program, I believe.
The senior-government funding, the tax relief, the much-improved public access to the Esquimalt side of the harbour and other amenities are not likely to appear with the fractured privatization of the service.
I believe the vast majority of Esquimalt residents would take civic pride in helping to protect our marine environment and public health and in keeping sewage treatment both public and affordable.
I believe in the goodwill and intelligence of Esquimalt residents and in their ability to recognize a good deal when they see one.
