On the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency's home page: "Our role is to provide Canadians with high-quality environmental assessments that contribute to informed decision-making, in support of sustainable development. We lead the federal review process for most major projects and co-ordinate the Government of Canada's aboriginal consultation activities during the environmental assessment process of these projects."
I wonder how informed their decision will be on the Northern Gateway pipeline when they reject the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board's report on Enbridge's performance with the Kalamazoo oil spill. Sounds like a stacked deck to me, one of Prime Minister Stephen Harper's quests for the truth as he knows it; better yet, as he wants it.
