Re: “More webcams zero in on Island highways,” Jan. 18.
We are informed by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure that four new cameras have been added at Island locations with 10 additional views. A spinning viewpoint camera at, say, the start of the Malahat and at the top, would obviously be very useful.
Meanwhile, a spinning camera at Admirals Road/McKenzie Avenue is useless.
Really? We need a $10,000 camera we can access on computers and smartphones, so we can what? Watch the Colwood Crawl while we are still sitting in it every day? Brilliant!
