Re: “Controlling cats starts at home,” Jan. 5.

A good editorial about cats was ruined by suggesting that cats could be outdoor cats if spayed or neutered.

In my opinion, all cats should be licensed and kept indoors or on the owner’s property, the same as required for dogs. Any cat owner is not a responsible pet owner who allows cats to run free to decimate our bird population and mess in neighbours’ yards.
