Our federal government’s response to the Syrian refugee crisis is nothing short of pathetic. Germany, a country that is a fraction the size of Canada, expects to take in 800,000 refugees this year; we are grudgingly taking a few thousand.
The one good thing about the situation is that Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s chances of getting re-elected are diminishing every day. Heaven forbid we should be subjected to another four years of Conservative arrogance under his leadership.
