Re: “Victoria council should undo damage done by PM, Chavez supporters say,” March 12.

Hugo Chavez supporters who have chosen to live in Canada, now living in Victoria, want Victoria city council to offer an official statement of condolences to undo damage done by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Could we please stop with all this apologizing? It is becoming ridiculous, like some Monty Python skit, one apology after the other. They have become worthless.

Victoria city council has no business to comment in this issue and I hope they bear that in mind when it comes up for consideration. The council certainly should be the voice for all citizens, but only in those matters that fall under municipal jurisdiction.

Leave the international affairs where they belong, whether we agree or not.
