Camping ban an overreaction

I agree with Victoria Coun. Ben Isitt that this is an over-reaction.

Am I the only one getting tired of this “nanny” way of thinking? We live in an earthquake zone, so no matter where you are, you’re in danger of something happening to you. Face it, it’s just ass-coverage for B.C. Hydro and the Capital Regional District. They don’t want to be liable for any deaths or damages that result due to a major earthquake, which may or may not happen anytime soon.

Sure, throw up some signs, that’s good enough. The nervous Nellies will go someplace else. Most people will stay there and enjoy the scenery. The CRD is stopping people from enjoying this beautiful area.

You don’t see parks in the Okanagan being shut down because people “might” get bitten by rattlesnakes, do you? Oh right, they’re not part of the CRD.
