As Victoria is supposed to be the cycling capital of Canada, I was shocked to see the condition of the bike-repair station at Victoria International Airport.
The bike-repair stand was full of cigarette butts and two people were actually smoking cigarettes under the shelter. If I were arriving as a cycling tourist in Victoria for the first time, it might make me want to reconsider my plans. Better signage and a separate smoking area away from the bike shelter are badly needed.
