B.C. would be poorer without TLC's work

While it is clear that The Land Conservancy's current situation is dire, it is equally important to recognize the incredible work and triumphs of this organization over the last 15 years.

I attended the annual general meeting on Saturday and I was struck by the commitment and determination of the board and the more than 250 members who were present. The difficulties have been clearly acknowledged and a sweeping plan to cut costs and reorganize has been implemented.

It is now time to look forward and focus on what must be done to ensure TLC's strong future.

All of British Columbia has benefitted from TLC's work, and multiple properties and heritage sites have been saved because of their work, sites that would have otherwise been lost. Our province would be a much poorer place without TLC and it is imperative that we all do whatever we can to assist them at this time.
