All of us are genetically modified organisms

While I admit I am not a fan of tomatoes modified for “shipping durability,” I think the anti-GMO movement needs to take a breath.

Walk down any street and check out the dogs, plants, even the people. Marigolds in my garden cross-pollinated, creating magical (GMO) colour combos. Some scientists now believe that neanderthals did not die out, but more than likely mated with “new people” to make all of us GMOs.

We need to stop and enjoy the GMO roses. Their scent may be softer, but they are more varied, lovely and healthier and live longer, like us.
