A feeling of falling down the sewage rabbit hole

We don’t expect our elected officials to hold PhDs in science and technology. All we ask is that they listen to and heed the advice of the well-educated experts who are more than willing to share their knowledge. Holding elected office is a dangerous thing once you start to think you know everything.

All levels of government appear to be paralyzed by indecision, staggering from one ludicrous option to another. But where is the evidence that necessitates these megabucks being spent without a shovel in the ground? And for Esquimalt to say: We’ll put it here if they’ll put one there. Are these children? Double the costs?

But is sewage treatment really necessary? I don’t know for sure, given my impeccable credentials or lack thereof, same as the mayors, MPs and MLAs.

I feel as though I’ve just fallen down the rabbit hole with Alice.
