Square talk on smart meters

I hope that none of the people who oppose the new B.C. Hydro smart meters ever use a cellphone or a household cordless phone. These devices, which are far more pervasive than smart meters, transmit signals right through your skull when you hold them to your ear.

Also, it would appear that these same people have never heard of the inverse square law, which states that every time you double the distance between a source of radiation and the subject, the radiation decreases in strength by four.

Couple this basic law of radiation physics with the fact that the smart meters will only report for a very short interval each day, and you have a very low-risk device.

Don't let the fear-mongering scare you.
