3 officers injured in shooting at US police station; suspect killed

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Three officers have been injured in a shooting at a police station in the U.S., and the suspect was shot and killed.

Police say gunfire erupted inside the Gloucester Township police station in New Jersey before dawn Friday as a man was being processed on a domestic violence complaint.

The man grabbed a gun and began firing. Three officers were hit before the suspect was shot and killed.

Deputy Police Chief David Harkins says one officer had a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was undergoing surgery. Two other officers had minor injuries.
