OTTAWA - Gary Lunn, who was defeated as the Conservative MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands in the last federal election, has a new federal appointment.
Lunn has been appointed to the board of directors of the Canada Foundation for Sustainable Development Technology.
The federal government said the part-time appointment is to last one year.
Lunn was the natural resources minister, minister of state for sport and the Harper government's point man for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.
Green party leader Elizabeth May defeated Lunn in the May 2011 federal election.
Sustainable Development Technology Canada is a not-for-profit foundation that finances clean technologies through two multimillion-dollar funds.
