A cook chimney in Royston was erected as a 1971 Centennial project. A plaque lists the children's names who gathered the stones.
Along the boardwalk, life thrives on stumps.

About a dozen old machines, some dating back to the 1950s, have come to rest on the edge of the forest.
Machinery left to the elements.

Everyone accounted for after deadly B.C. avalanche

The search at the scene of a fatal avalanche in southeastern British Columbia was called off Saturday as RCMP said everyone had been accounted for.
