Two people were flown by air ambulance to Victoria General Hospital on Friday evening after a head-on collision between two vehicles on West Coast Road.
"Both were in serious condition," said B.C. Ambulance spokesman Ben Mittelsteadt.
Five people were believed to be injured. Mittelsteadt said one person in serious condition was taken to hospital by ground ambulance.
Sooke RCMP Staff-Sgt. Steve Wright said none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
The accident took place near the junction with Otter Point Road about 7:30 p.m.
Fire departments from Sooke, Otter Point and Shirley also responded.
Accident reconstruction teams were at the scene of the accident, near Gordon's Beach, by mid-evening and traffic was backed up for at least one kilometre.
"Speed and alcohol are not believed to be major factors," Wright said.
