A federal parolee who had been on the lam for two weeks was nabbed by Victoria police on Thursday.
Dezmond White, 22, was picked up during an afternoon traffic stop in Esquimalt. He had been spotted on Wark Street earlier in the day, prompting a foot chase and an extensive manhunt.
White failed to return to his Surrey halfway house in late August. He was serving a federal sentence for break and enter, uttering threats and firearms offences in Victoria and Saanich in 2010.
