FREDERICTON - The New Brunswick government has signed a four-year collective agreement with the union that represents the province's registered nurses.
Human Resources Minister Troy Lifford and union officials signed the agreement Tuesday.
Lifford issued a statement saying the agreement incorporates a two-year wage freeze, followed by one per cent increases every six months during 2013 and 2014.
The agreement also deals with pay equity and job classifications.
The union represents 6,600 registered nurses.
