WINNIPEG - The Manitoba government is providing more funding for schools.
For the 14th consecutive year, the NDP has increased education funding by $27 million, or 2.3 per cent.
Education Minister Nancy Allan says there's nothing more important than giving children the start they deserve.
Allan says education is a priority for Manitoba families and that's why the government is focused on improving schools.
Since the NDP was elected in 1999, the government has increased the money it provides to education by more than $440 million.
