OTTAWA - Prime Minister Stephen Harper is welcoming his MPs and senators back to work at the first Conservative caucus meeting since the House of Commons returned from its six-week winter break.

He says his government has accomplished much, but challenges remain.

Harper says the Tories will remain focused on the economy, on families and on law and order issues.

He's reminding his colleagues that the Conservative government has just hit its seventh anniversary in power.

He's dropping few real hints about legislation to come, although he says taxes have to be kept low.

He also says that the criminal justice system is still too slow.
