RCMP were called to a 7-Eleven this week after receiving reports the store had been robbed by a man brandishing a large knife.
At approximately 9: 15 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to the convenience store at 190 Nicol St.
Clerks told police a man carrying a large knife demanded cash from the till. The man grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash, then ran away.
An officer and police dog spotted an individual who matched the suspect's description and made an arrest.
Officers searched the area for the knife but could not locate it.
Police said no one was injured in the incident.
A 19-year-old was arrested. He has not yet appeared in court.
