Victoria police are asking the public for help after an extensive but unsuccessful search to find a man who jumped out of a white van and grabbed a woman on Thursday evening.

The incident happened in the area of Wark Street and Kings Road about 5:45 p.m. Thursday. A man exited the newer-model white van and grabbed at the woman’s jacket. She broke free and fled.

The male suspect is described as being of average build and height, possibly tanned, and between 20 to 30 years old, police said in a statement.

Victoria police ask anyone with information to call them at 250-995-7654 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
