Victoria police are warning retailers to beware of young men trying to purchase gift cards using pre-paid credit cards.
The men, in their late teens or early 20s, carry several prepaid credit cards. When one is declined, they often reach into their pocket for another.
The information from the cards has been obtained fraudulently, Victoria police said. If you encounter one of the scammers, call 911, police say.
