Ontario man found safe in Victoria; woman missing

Randy Tyrone Ogden, the subject of a missing-person alert from Victoria police, has been found safe. The 24-year-old from Ontario had not been seen since April 30. His family was concerned for his well-being.

Randy Tyrone Ogden, the subject of  a missing-person alert from Victoria police, has been found safe.

The 24-year-old from Ontario had not been seen since April 30. His family was concerned for his well-being.

However,  Victoria police are continuing to search for 52-year-old Sylvie Tremblay of Victoria. Tremblay was last seen in a multi-unit residence in the 2300-block of Dowler Place on April 26.

She is described as a Caucasian woman, 5-feet-7 and weighing about 140 pounds. She has blond, shoulder-length hair with short bangs. Tremblay is tanned with “striking” white teeth.

She was last seen wearing a red sweater or jacket, black pants, white shoes and was carrying a purple and black backpack.

Tremblay speaks with a strong French-Canadian accent. Anyone who sees her is asked to call 911. Her family and friends are concerned for her well-being.

Anyone with information about either missing person is asked to contact police at 250-995-7654 or report it anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
