Victoria police continue to investigate a suspicious fire at the Toys “R” Us store in Mayfair Shopping Centre on April 27.

Victoria police continue to investigate a suspicious fire at the Toys “R” Us store in Mayfair Shopping Centre on April 27.

While officers have spoken with several witnesses, they also have video footage of other potential witnesses and would like them to come forward. Pictures of those people have been released.

Police would also like to talk to anyone who was in Toys “R” Us between 1 and 2 p.m. on April 27. Even details that do not seem important can make a difference, police said.

Police and firefighters responded to the store about 2 p.m.

Nobody was injured but there was significant damage to the store.

Toys “R” Us staff member Morgan Gregory received a Victoria Police Department Civic Service Award this week for helping to put out the fire and ensure all customers were safely out of the store.

Victoria police ask anyone with information to contact them at 250-995-7654.
