Police are investigating a second stabbing in downtown Victoria in less than 24 hours.

Officers were called to the 800 block of Pandora Avenue, between Blanshard and Quadra streets, about 10 p.m. Wednesday after a man reported being stabbed.

The victim was found suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital by B.C. Ambulance paramedics.

Investigators believe the attack was not random.

The stabbing came less than 24 hours after 55-year-old Dan Vo, a well-known member of the street community, was stabbed in the 1600 block of Government Street, near McPherson Playhouse.

Vo was reportedly stabbed in the abdomen and hand, and then went back to sleep in a doorway. It wasn’t until the morning that someone found him bleeding and investigators were called.

Vo was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made in either attack.

Victoria police spokesman Bowen Osoko said there’s nothing to indicate that the two stabbings were related.

Anyone with information about either attack is asked to call the Victoria police non-emergency line at 250-995-7654 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
