Victoria police have released a photo of a car similar to the one linked to Slaven Bakovljev in the hope that it can help in locating the missing Victoria man.
The 26-year-old was reported missing on Monday. He is believed to have been driving a white 2009 Kia Rio sedan with licence plate 564 KXN.
Hundreds of volunteers, led by friends and members of Bakovljev’s church community, and a number of police departments have been looking for him from northern Vancouver Island to the Lower Mainland.
A search involving about 150Â people was organized Friday in Nanaimo, and about 50 showed up Thursday in Duncan to search when they heard he might have been seen there.
He is described as five-foot-10 and about 140 pounds with a slim build. He has short, dark-brown hair and a moustache. He was reported to be carrying a knapsack.
