Victoria police say the stabbing victims — one at the tent city near the courthouse and the other in Esquimalt — both had non-life-threatening injuries.

Victoria police responded to a pair of stabbings Sunday morning, including one reported at the tent city on the grounds of Victoria courthouse.

Police said the tent-city victim, who has non-life-threatening injuries, is being unco-operative with investigators.

They were called to the encampment about 5:30 a.m. A suspect was located.

Police are looking for witnesses to come forward.

The stabbing is the second reported to police at the tent city — home to an estimated 100 people — with the first one taking place Dec. 24. The victim in that case also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police also dealt with a stabbing about 5 a.m. on Grenville Avenue in Esquimalt. They said four males were involved in the incident but only one is likely to face charges.
