Victoria political analyst Norman Spector is in Barcelona where at least 13 people have died and about 50 more were injured today after a van drove into a crowd in what is being called a terror attack.
Spector tweeted: “Walked Las Ramblas today w my best friend’s grand-kids and we lunched at an outdoor restaurant. Have had closer calls but still unnerving.”
Catalan police say that they have arrested one suspect.
Las Ramblas is the area of Barcelona where the attack occurred. It’s a popular destination for tourists and features a pedestrian mall.

Walking La Ramblas a few hours before the terrorist attack, I saw Muslim women wearing hijab and Jewish men wearing kippah. And lots of kids
