Saanich police are urging people to drive carefully after a vehicle crashed into a power pole on an icy road this morning.
In the early morning, Saanich police received reports of black ice in the area. The crash occurred on Sayward road at about 5:30 a.m.
Police are reminding driviers to use caution, noting many are driving as they normally would again after the snowfall.
While drivers might still experience icy winter conditions on some roads, the Saanich Municipal yard has deployed salt trucks.
