Two people were taken to hospital Thursday morning after an SUV travelling at high speed went over a bank, hit a tree and flipped on Six Mile Road.
The View Royal Fire Department received a call about the crash at 3:20 a.m.
By the time firefighters and B.C. Ambulance paramedics arrived, the occupants — a man and a woman in their late 40s — had climbed out the back of the SUV, said Lt. Robert Marshall, of View Royal Fire.
Both were taken to hospital.
West Shore RCMP are investigating the crash.
