Two people were taken to hospital with minor injuries Sunday morning after a T-bone crash at a Langford intersection that caused one truck to roll over, take out a traffic light and land on its side on a median.

Around 8:30 a.m., a PT Cruiser slammed into the passenger side door of a yellow Ford Ranger at the intersection of Veterans Memorial Parkway and Kelly Road. The impact sent the truck rolling onto a traffic median.

The male driver of the Ford Ranger was able to climb out of the vehicle with the help of some witnesses, said Langford Fire Capt. Brian Bell.

West Shore RCMP, Langford Fire and B.C. Ambulance rushed to the scene.

The male driver of the Ford Ranger and the female driver of the PT Cruiser were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The intersection was closed for at least an hour as an electrical contractor and Main Road Contracting worked to de-energize the light standard so a tow truck could remove the truck from the scene.

West Shore RCMP are trying to determine if one of the vehicles ran a red light.
