One driver was transported to Victoria by air ambulance after a two-vehicle crash in Lantzville on Tuesday.
The driver was cut out of a vehicle after it ended up in the ditch on Lantzville Road, near Superior Road, about 8:30 p.m. Police said the driver had serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The other vehicle struck a tree, and the driver was taken to hospital with injuries police described as minor.
Nanaimo RCMP said alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash. “Speed has not been ruled out at this point,” said Const. Derek Balderston.
Police are looking for witnesses and ask anyone who saw the crash to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
