Victoria police believe a medical issue might have caused a driver to go through a red light at Quadra Street and Hillside Avenue just before noon on Wednesday.
The car, which was travelling south on Quadra, collided with two vehicles headed west on Hillside.
The driver of the car that ran the light as well as a driver and passenger from one of the other vehicles were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The third driver did not require medical attention.
