British singer-songwriter Sting, who has sold nearly 100 million albums in his combined work as a solo artist and former frontman of the Police, will perform in Victoria May 31, promoter Live Nation has announced.
A five-piece band will join Sting on stage, including longtime guitarist Dominic Miller, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, keyboardist David Sancious, electric fiddler Peter Tickell and vocalist Jo Lawry.
The concert at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre is part of Sting’s extended Back to Bass tour, which has included stops in North America, Europe, Asia and South Africa since 2011.
Sting (Gordon Sumner) has released 13 solo albums, from 1985’s The Dream of the Blue Turtles to 2010’s Symphonicities.
