Motorists heading over the Malahat this afternoon face potentially slippery conditions as snow mixed with rain began to fall at about 4 p.m.
Environment Canada predicted a 30 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries today with lows expected to drop to 1 C. Flurries near the Malahat are expected to continue Friday morning with the possibility of accumulations of up to four centimetres.
The Victoria forecast is calling for similar conditions, with a chance of rain or snow flurries this evening and Friday. The forecast low is expected to be near freezing.
