A convicted sex offender who was unlawfully at large in Vancouver was arrested on Vancouver Island this afternoon.
It is not clear where Michael Hans Bopfinger was arrested, but Vancouver Police are thanking Victoria Police and Central Saanich RCMP for their assistance.
Bopfinger, 42, had been on statutory release and living in a halfway house when he failed to return by his curfew on Aug. 25, Vancouver Police said.
A Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest.
