A Home Deport store on Shelbourne Street near McKenzie Avenue was evacuated after a threat was made on Tuesday afternoon, Saanich police said.

Saanich police believe that two bomb threats in less than a week at Home Depot in University Heights Plaza are related.

The store, on Shelbourne Street near McKenzie Avenue, was evacuated after a threat was made on Tuesday afternoon, said Saanich police Sgt. Steve Eassie.

The first threat, called in on Oct. 15, also led to an evacuation.

In that case, someone called and said there was a bomb in the store. The threat was found to be false and the store was reopened, Saanich police said.
