The search for missing Cobble Hill man Ben Kilmer continues, with volunteers combing rugged terrain.
Kilmer, 41, was last seen on May 16. The white Norpac Power vehicle he was using was discovered still running near Sahtlam, between Duncan and Lake Cowichan.
Volunteers are invited to meet at the Sahtlam Volunteer Fire Department, which is serving as a base camp and where tasks will be assigned.
Search organizers are looking for volunteers to put up posters all along B.C.’s coast and on the Lower Mainland as well, especially in areas of high traffic.
The official search ended on Monday evening but friends, family and other supporters are continuing the effort to find the father of two young children.
Information about the search is available on the Find Ben Kilmer Facebook page. Organizers are hoping for volunteers who have experience with grid and sweep searches and who are highly experienced in working in difficult terrain.
