Colin MacLock has put more than 1,000 hours of work over five years into restoring a 5.5-foot model of TEV Princess Marguerite (II), sometimes referred to as the Maggie. .

The model was made by the late Hugh Tumilty, who was on the vessel when it was torpedoed in the Mediterranean during the Second World War and so had an attachment to the ship.

He later served on other CPR ships before being appointed superintendent engineer.

After retiring in 1977, Tumilty was a keen model builder. MacLock was commissioned to restore it by Tumilty’s wife, Shirley.
