Saanich police are investigating after a puppy was stolen from a parked vehicle on Friday.
Red, a four-month-old Redbone Coonhound, was taken from his owner’s vehicle at the Tillicum Centre mall just before noon.
The owner was gone for a short time. When he returned to the car, the dog was gone, police said, noting that the dog might not answer to its name.
Police ask anyone who witnessed the theft or has any information on the dog’s whereabouts to contact Saanich police at 250-475-4321.
