The Emergency Response Team surrounded a house on a quiet residential street in the Oaklands area after a weapons call on Tuesday.

Police were called to Doncaster Drive and Clawthorpe Avenue about 12:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a man with a weapon in a vehicle.

As police were dealing with that call, another report came in about a robbery at a residence two blocks away at Doncaster Drive and Burton Avenue, Victoria police spokesman Const. Matt Rutherford said.

The Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team was called in to make sure the home was safe, Rutherford said.

Three occupants of the home on the 3000 block of Doncaster Drive were handcuffed and released without charge.

One man was taken into custody on unrelated outstanding warrants.

One weapon was seized from the vehicle and one weapon was seized from the home.

Rutherford would not say what kind of weapons were seized.
