Police ask for help locating Sidney teen missing since May 22

Sidney/North Saanich RCMP are making another public appeal with the hope of finding 17-year-old Mikayla Savage, who hasn’t been in contact with her family for almost a month.

Sidney/North Saanich RCMP are making another public appeal with the hope of finding 17-year-old Mikayla Savage, who hasn’t been in contact with her family for almost a month.

Mikayla, a Parkland Secondary School student, was last in touch with her family on May 22.

Mounties have received reports of possible sightings of the teen from Victoria to the Okanagan but have not been able to locate her.

Investigators said today it’s possible Mikayla may be travelling with a companion, a man with a white pitbull named Popeye, but police still want to speak with her to confirm she’s safe.

Mikayla is described as white, five feet tall, about 90 pounds with brown hair that was worn in dread-locks when she was last seen.

Anyone with information about Mikayla's whereabouts is asked to call Sidney/North Saanich RCMP Const. Kevin Shaw at 250-656-3931 or their local police department.
