Oak Bay police are cautioning people about a scam involving emails allegedly from iTunes. The emails come in the form of a bill for music or movies purchased from the iTunes online store. Do not click on the link embedded in the email, police warn.

The emails come in the form of a bill for music or movies purchased from the iTunes online store. Do not click on the link embedded in the email, police warn.

ITunes has posted a note on its website warning customers not to provide personal information, passwords and credit card information by email or by phone.

If you have doubts about whether an email is authentic or a scam, contact the source directly and not by a link provided in the suspicious email.
