Nanaimo RCMP said all 18 tenants in the six units at the Sabiston Street townhouse were able to get out. The fire was reported about 1 a.m. and appears to have started on the front porch.
One elderly man received cuts and scrapes, while a woman was treated for burns to her upper body. They and the other tenants are temporarily staying in a hotel.
